Glimmer Class #2

The practice of letting go, and inviting in.

With the energy of the Autumn Equinox this week comes the practice of letting go.

Cliche, probably. Letting go comes up a lot, especially in the practice of yoga. I suppose a better way to put it is the practice of nonattachment. Or, Aparigraha in term of the Yamas and Niyamas. When we attach to things and people, we feel a sense of control. But, nothing is *truly* ours. Everything is temporary, the good and the not so good. While we can appreciate, we shouldn’t hold onto things forever, because we only truly have this moment.

One of my favorite phrases both on and off the mat are from Ram Dass, “Be Here Now”. What would it look like for you to be here now, in this one moment? What would the practice of being here now require from you?

I invite you to ponder these in the comments or, just journal them to yourself. See what shows up when you stretch your thinking in this way.

With Gratitude,

Tal
